The Vine Bistro serves flavour packed classic bistro lunches and dinners, together with elegant, distinctive wines from the estate. The kitchen team is run by chef patron Christophe Dehosse together with head chef Alex Rykaart.
Drawing inspiration from traditional, convivial French kitchens, adding a modern local twist, the menu changes regularly. It is small, with 5 to 6 options for each course, and features organic, grass-fed and free-range where ever possible.
Summer menu favourites include Cape line fish ceviche with tomato salsa and sea lettuce; Salad of marinated goats’ cheese, root vegetable crisps and basil pesto; Line-caught gurnard, ratatouille, pommes dauphine and fennel with cumin sauce; Braised pork cheeks, sweet potato, glazed baby carrots and red wine jus; Canelé, roast pineapple and rooibos & honey ice cream; Strawberry parfait, meringue and strawberry & mint salad
On any given day, expect the views of the Stellenbosch mountains to take your breath away, a warm, heartfelt welcome, and attentive, friendly service.
